WHAT IS ALLEGIANT FACE COVERINGPOLICY?

From a quite long period of time, Allegiant Airlines has been the only major low-cost US airline to not make it mandatory for passengers to wear face coverings. But from this July, Allegiant Airlines has made it compulsory to wear masks throughout the journey, including at the airport ticket counter and gate, during check-in, boarding. Allegiant Airlines is constantly evaluating its policies to ensure to meet the customer’s need. This airline recommends all the customers to wear face coverings in all of their communications with them. For customer’s safety and health, Allegiant Air sends the reminder email before the flights and also makes announcements at the gate, onboard.

Allegiant Airlines work closely with the Centres of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and other authorities.

• All the aircraft are properly cleaned and disinfected to the highest possible standard.
• Allegiant maintains a comprehensive cleaning program for all the aircraft.
• All touch surfaces, from seatbelts and tray tables to galleries, are sanitized and disinfected thoroughly during every cleaning.
• This airline regularly treats all the aircraft with an advanced anti-microbial protectant that kills germs, viruses and bacteria on contact for 14 days.
• It is made compulsory for every customer and crew members to wear masks or face coverings when travelling.
• Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear a face covering.
• Passengers with any medical conditions that prevent the use of face-covering must provide documents from the medical physician to the gate agent one hour before the scheduled flight departure.
• Face coverings may be removed to eat or drink, but otherwise, it must be worn at all times.
• Allegiant also provides complimentary health and safety kit to every customer. Each kit includes a disposable face mask and two sanitizing wipes.
• All the crew members are required to wear a face-covering all the times and hand gloves during in-flight services.
• As part of the online or mobile check-in, customers must fill the complete health acknowledgement certifying: the customers will wear face coverings throughout the travelling, the customer will not travel if he/she has a fever, etc.
