Plattsburgh International Airport

Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) is a county public-use airport located 6 kilometers south of Plattsburgh's central business district in the Town of Plattsburgh, New York. In 2013, approximately 85% of the airport's passengers were Canadians, mostly from Montreal.

Since 2002, Clinton County has owned PBG airport, which is located on the old Plattsburgh Air Force Base. After the airbase was decommissioned in 1995, the Plattsburgh Airforce base Redevelopment Corporation was formed to rebuild the site. The airport's facilities have been upgraded to commercial aviation requirements, and the county has been operating here from Clinton County Airport since June 2007.

Las Vegas-based airline Allegiant Air announced that it’ll offer non-stop flight services from PBG to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale aboard McDonnell-Douglas MD-80 variants. Because of its proximity to Montreal and Burlington, Vermont, the airline considered Plattsburgh an excellent option. Allegiant has a similar arrangement with Bellingham International Airport in Bellingham, Washington, near Vancouver.

Allegiant inaugurated nonstop service between Las Vegas and Punta Gorda in response to their outstanding success in the region. The service in Las Vegas ceased in March 2014. The majority of Allegiant Air routes depart from Plattsburgh on Airbus A319s and A320s.

The parking facility at Plattsburgh International Airport is both convenient and inexpensive. Parking lots are mere steps away from the terminal, making arrival and departure easy.

Please note that any car left unattended for more than 60 days without approval will be towed. Passengers need to call Republic Parking if they are leaving their car for more than 60 days

• Car Rentals: Avis, Budget, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car provide in-terminal car rental services to passengers.
• Ride-Sharing: Search for designated signs outside the terminal for rideshare pick-up locations.
• EV Charging Stations: EV charging stations are available in the main parking for use. Overnight parking is authorized at the PBG’s EV stations.

Entering the U.S. via Land Border

Fully vaccinated Americans and Canadians entering the U.S. via land border need to follow the below steps:

• Fully vaccinated certificate or similar proof declaring fully vaccinated 2+ weeks after you have received your 2nd dose.
• Passport, Enhanced License or NEXUS.

Entering Canada via Land Border

Fully vaccinated Americans and Canadians entering the U.S. via land border need to follow the below steps:

1. Download the ArriveCan App and enter the prompted information
   • Arrive Can require a picture of your passport, proof of COVID vaccine, FAST card, NEXUS card, or enhanced driver’s license.
   • Only one person can install the app and enter the information for all travelers if multiple people are traveling.
2. You need to produce all the below documents while arriving at the airport:
   • Passport, Enhanced License or NEXUS
   • Fully vaccinated certificate or similar proof declaring fully vaccinated 2+ weeks after you have received your 2nd dose.
   • Pre-entry testing will no longer be necessary for fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada by land, air, or water effective April 1, 2022.
